The 15 Million euros investment supplied the newly opened Barilla automated warehouse with 54 stocker cranes, which move over 80.000 pallets every day. These investments reduce the amount of trips between different storages of at least 3000. Automation in food industry allows maintaining and increasing the new volumes of goods trading by sticking to the preexisting structures, concentrating resources and centralizing functions in industrial warehouses. The investments are bound to the acquisition of automatic machines for the food industry and are increasing by at least 5% every year.
